Itinerary
Note: Itinerary subject to change based on roads and climatic conditions

 

Day 1: 

   

1: Pickup: 06:00- 06:30

Get picked up early from your hotel or accommodation by your guide and your professional driver to begin your adventure to the beauty of Torres del Paine.

2: Hosteria Rubens: 08:00-08:20

Take a break from the long drive to stretch your legs with a stop at the traditional Hosteria Rubens, a homie spot in the Patagonian countryside, and enjoy a quick snack before continuing your journey.

3: Puerto Natales Costa Nera: 10:00- 10:20

 

Stop in idyllic Puerto Natales for a walk along its iconic Costa Nera to take pictures of the quiet Canal Señoret, framed by the Patagonian Andes. Then, continue to your first hiking stop.

4: Cueva del Milodon: 11:20- 13:20

Travel back in time to the height of the last Ice Age eleven thousand years, where glaciers carved out the Patagonia we see today. Hike to the mysterious Cueva Chica and Cueva del Medio, to enjoy a picnic lunch amongst the flowers before venturing into the staggering Cueva Grande to learn about the ancient people and Ice Age megafauna that lived and died there.

5: Park Entrance to Torres del Paine: 14:00- 14:10

Stop for pictures beside the Park entrance sign while your guide checks you in for your Torres del Paine experience to officially begin!

6: Lago Grey: 14:20-16:20

Enjoy an easy stroll along the beach followed by a short hike up to look out over the beautiful Lago Grey and see one of the most important natural beauties of Patagonia- the South Patagonian Ice Cap. Witness the immensity of the Grey Glaciar and the fantastical shapes of its great blue icebergs, floating in the ever-changing waters of Lago Grey.  

7: Basecamp Pehoe: 16:40

Arrive for some well-deserved rest and relaxation at your beautiful Basecamp on the shores of Lago Pehoe- a proglacial lake looking out over the South face of Paine.

Enjoy a delicious traditional Patagonian meal and camaraderie with your fellow hikers. Swap adventure stories, stargaze, or just enjoy the peaceful tranquillity before retiring to your comfy tent to rest up for the next day's adventures.

 

Day 2:

1: Breakfast: 09:00- 09:30

Enjoy a hearty breakfast in the shadow of the Paine Massif and prepare for the day's fun ahead!

2: Wildlife Safari Hike: 10:30-13:00

Experience the magic of the sub-Antarctic steppe which earned Torres del Paine its UNESCO Biosphere Reserve status with this easy to medium difficulty hike to Lago Sarmiento. Get amazing views of the Guanacos and Patagonian Grey Fox that call the park home, and, with luck, spot one of our elusive puma known to frequent this area of the park. 

Enjoy a picnic box lunch en route as you hike to Lago Sarmiento, "La Costa Blanca", and learn about the rare and ancient organisms that call this area of the park home.

3: Lago Nordenskjöld: 13:45-14:15

After being picked up by your driver at the end of your hike, take a stop to enjoy pictures and a pleasing view of Lago Nordenskjöld, the Cuernos del Paine, and Paine Grande.

4: Salto Grande

Experience the wild beauty of the windiest place in Torres del Paine National park- the infamous Salto Grande. Take pictures of the Cuernos del Paine beside the roarine Paine river as it falls from Lago Nordenskjöld into the blue waters of Lago Pehoe. 

5: Return to Basecamp: 16:00

Enjoy another evening of good food and good fun with your fellow explorers before hitting the hay early before your most adventurous day yet!

Day 3:

1: Breakfast: 07:00- 07:30

Wake up to yummy food, coffee and Patagonian mate as you prep for your adventure to the Base Torres. As you eat, enjoy a technical briefing from your expert guide about the day's conditions before setting off on your epic hike!

2: Base Torres Hike: 08:00-16:00

Follow your expert guide up the side of the mountain to reach the idyllic lake at the lookout of the three Torres del Paine, the slim granite spires that give the park its name.  See the park and Massif from a new vantage point and experience the real adventure of Patagonia on this challenging hike. Stop at the placid lake at the top for pictures and a celebratory picnic before heading back down to ground level with your memories in tow.

Note: This hike is considered difficult due to the steepness of the terrain. Passengers wishing to stay behind to enjoy alternate activities at Basecamp are welcome to do so. 

 

3: Return to Basecamp: 16:30

Snacks, drinks, and celebration await you at Basecamp as you arrive to enjoy your final night in the Park and say goodbye to the stars of Torres del Paine.

Day 4:

1: Brunch: 10:00- 11:00

Enjoy a luxurious lie-in after your day of heavy hiking before tucking in to a delicious brunch before you say your final farewells to our Pehoe basecamp home. 

2: Toast to Cascada Paine: 11:30-12:00

Say goodbye to the Torres del Paine with a stop at the breathtaking Cascada Paine, a beautiful waterfall with views of the Torres in the distance. Toast the Towers, the park, and yourselves before getting in the van for your peaceful journey home. 

 

3: Puerto Natales: 13:20-14:10 

Stop to stretch and buy your last minute souvenirs in the quaint plaza of Puerto Natales before settling in for the ride home.

4: Villa Tehuelche: 16:30-16:50

Stop for one last stretch in the tiny town of Villa Tehuelche, and learn about the important role this community has played in the history of Chile and Patagonia. 

5: Drop- Off in Punta Arenas: 18:00

 

Say goodbye to your guides and fellow hikers as we drop you off back to your hotel or accommodation in Punta Arenas to begin the next leg of your adventure and dream of your next trip to Patagonia with us!
