Do you pick up passengers from cruise ships?
We absolutely pick up passengers from cruise ships!
Your tour guide will greet you and your fellow passengers off your ship at the pick-up time indicated on your service description.
In the event that your cruise ship arrives later than the excursion start time, your guide will contact you to arrange an alternate pickup time for your group (subject to availability).
Is it possible to visit Torres del Paine on a shore excursion with you?
Unfortunately, Torres del Paine is five hours away from Punta Arenas, and it is not possible to visit the park with us on a driving shore excursion.
We hope you are able to make it back to Patagonia someday to visit the park with us on our Highlights of Torres del Paine 4 day tour, coming soon in the 2020- 2021 season!
What happens if my cruise ship is unable to tender?
In the unlikely event that your cruise ship is unable to tender due to high winds, we will issue you a refund of 100%.
How strenuous are your hiking excursions?
Our Hiking excursions is rated moderate and is suitable for all ages. The hike takes place at a leisurely pace with many breaks to take photos, and lasts around 2 hours. It covers 5.6 kilometres of well- kept trail and has an elevation gain of 150 metres. The grade of the trail is mostly gradual, with one five-metre section of steep trail to descend. All passengers are provided with a trekking pole. An additional pole is available upon request.
We suggest that passengers have a moderate level of fitness to come on this hike.
Can I pay in cash on the day of my tour?
To secure your booking, your tour must be paid in full and in advance of your tour. We accept payments in cash to secure bookings made up to 24 hours before your tour departure. Please note that we cannot guarantee tour availability for bookings until payment is received and that if we receive requests to book with advance payment your place on the tour will be lost.
Are your tours child-friendly?
We cater to adventurers of all ages!
Please note that we are not able to provide child seats, and small children and infants will be required to sit on their parents' laps during transportation if a child seat is not provided by their family.
All minors are the responsibility of their parent or guardian
Do you cater to dietary restrictions?
We prepare food options for celiacs, vegans, vegetarians, low salt, low fat, food allergies... you name it! Please let us know about your dietary requirements at the time of your booking so that we can modify your meal accordingly.
Are your tours wheelchair accessible?
Though we do our best to make our tours as accessible as possible, we cannot ensure wheelchair accessibility on our public tours. If you require wheelchair accessible activities, please get in touch with us via our contact form so that we can work with you to create a custom experience for you to enjoy.
Can I wear sneakers for my hike?
Comfortable, supportive sneakers with good grip or hiking boots can be used for our hiking excursions. Please avoid dress shoes, sandals, crocs, and other non-athletic footwear.
Please note that our Patagonian Forest Hike does take place over uneven terrain and in all types of weather, and using non-waterproof footwear could result in discomfort during inclement weather. The footing of the trail can be slippery in some circumstances, so flat-soled street shoes are not recommended for this hike.
What will the weather be like for my excursion?
The weather in Patagonia is extremely changeable- that's part of the adventure! Summer temperatures here hover around 9-12°C on average, and summer winds can gust between 90- 180 km/h.
All of our tours take place at least in part outdoors, and in all types of climatic conditions. Please come prepared for a weather experience with close-toes shoes, long pants, and a jacket. Toques, gloves, and rain gear are also recommended.
Please note that in the event of dangerously extreme conditions, your tour will be cancelled for a full refund.
